Prayer Meeting - Wednesday 19:00
Pray!

"You desire and do not have; you commit murder and desire to have and cannot obtain; you fight and war, yet you do not have because you do not ask." ~ James 4:2

In no way is our commitment to ourselves, our families, our communities and our God demonstrated so clearly, as in our commitment to prayer; either privately or together with others.

We are often told to let go and let God. But this statement in itself does not help us, nor does it tell us how to go about 'letting go' So we end up going through life still fighting battles on our own. We are told that nobody else cares about us and we have only  ourselves to rely on.

But is that really true?

The truth is, that there is Someone we can rely on. There is Someone who truly cares for us and that Someone is Jesus.

In order for us to let go and let God  we need to have a change of heart and a change in strategy. This means we must plan for and make time to come to God in prayer, He is and He provides the answer we seek.

This is the exact opposite of going through life facing our battles and challenges on our own. It  frees us to live life the way God truly intended for us to live it; in fullness.

Prayer makes this lifestyle of fullness possible just as it is written in Zechariah 4:6 ~ "Not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit, says the Lord." When we pray, we are saying Lord we rely on your Spirit to make the difference, not our own strength or abilities.

So who should pray?

Prayer is for everybody. And everybody is welcome to come to Prayer Meeting. So the next time you feel like life is getting to much for you to handle..

- Don't just stand there, pray something!
